Most everyone knows about the Farmers Market held Saturdays at Pioneer Park in Salt Lake City. If you're looking for a slower pace market (read less crowded), check out the Peoples Market on Sundays at Jordan Park.
Not near as big on vendors, but big on service from vendors looking to demonstrate what they have and or provide a great product.
Like any Farmers Market, what produce is available depends on the time of year but now is the perfect time to check out the Peoples Market for everything from tomatoes, peppers and cucumbers of all varieties.
While you're at the market, take a few minutes to walk through the International Peace Gardens. Unfortunately the park hasn't been maintained well and many of the exhibits are beginning to fail, the water features are long since gone but it is worth the walk anyway. Maybe if enough people contact the parks department and the mayors office funds can be driven to restore the park to its former luster.
