The Salt Lake Poetry Slam Finals, billed as "the poetry show that everyone has been waiting for!!!" is being held, where else but Mo's Grill this Monday March 29th, 2010 with hosts the renowned Jean Howard & improvisational Jaguar.
Salt Lake's top ten poets have been competing all year and will compete at the event to determine which five poets will represent Salt Lake City as a Team.
The Poetry Slam Nationals in St. Paul are being held from August 2nd - 7th and the 1st place winner of Monday's big competition will have the opportunity to go to the Individual World Poetry Slam in October.
For the adventurous there will be a 10 slot open-mic before the poetry slam begins. The promoter recommends getting there early (by 7pm) to sign up as spots will go very fast!
