Buy Local: Harmons Opens in Emigration Market: Submitted by: Staff Writer / Nick J. West (September 17th, 2011) | Date Added: 2 Sep 2017 Ingredients:

Harmons recently completed its remodel of the old Emigration Market location on 1300 South and 1700 East and opened with great fan-fare this past week to provide the North Sugar House and Harvard Yale neighborhoods with a top-notch local grocery option.

Stocked with plenty of delicious and ready to eat deli options, salads and side-dishes along with pre-packed and fresh-made dinner choices the new neighborhood Harmons is sure to fill the void left by the closure of the old market.

The artisan breads and the cheese selection alone is enough to keep you trying something new with each weeks grocery trip.

Owner Bob Harmon stated that they were surprisingly able to offer approximately 2/3 of the products carried in their larger full-size store by providing a variety of sizes and shape profiles. Harmons is also trying a stacked produce display that is unique to urban markets that allows them to carry a larger variety of fruits and vegetables in the tighter space.

In addition, Harmons is pleased to offer customers its private selection of superior dry aged beef products (a first for most stores in Utah) available at Harmons Emigration Market and 11 of its 15 Utah stores.

The tall product shelves may present an obstacle for some but the well-staffed store has an available smiling clerk to help reach that top shelf item with just the wave of a hand.

Support 'buy local, be local, shop local' with your neighborhood Harmons.
