#1 - To serve as a central point of communication for independent writers in-and-around Salt Lake City, Utah. All those interested in contributing are encouraged to participate.

#2 - To promote and, further represent Salt Lake City Utah and it’s citizens in a favorable manner. If enough interest exists at some point in the future the publication may expand to include a printed edition and may establish a merchants advertising co-operative to promote Salt Lake Free Press sponsored events.

#3 - To encourage the area businesses to work together on projects and special events, to the mutual benefit of both the Salt Lake Free Press and area merchants, whether contributing members or not.

#4 - To maintain a publication that is representative of Salt Lake City's diverse citizenry, and its many different communities.

Membership in Salt Lake Free Press is free. Member businesses that contribute monetary funds and or material to the Salt Lake Free Press will be featured in any Salt Lake Free Press publications, Salt Lake Free Press advertisements and when otherwise allocating Salt Lake Free Press resources. All members receive free advertising on the website.
